Community discounts may be available for free/koha entry, non-commercial events.
Some activities may incur higher rates and/or cleaning fee.
HOW WE USE OUR INCOME
As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus income we have after our operating costs are taken care of is reinvested into supporting artists and growing our creative community.
We are proud to offer a very low commission model in our gallery and affordable rental prices in the Hall to support our arts and local community. Income from gallery commissions and hall rentals helps pay for keeping Thistle Hall’s doors open. We assess surplus income at the end of each financial year and available funds go towards providing opportunities, resources, and programs that help artists thrive and contribute to the cultural life of our community.
ACCESSIBILITY
Lift (door 800mm wide, max weight 300kg). Accessible bathroom on ground floor (hallway and door 800mm at narrowest point).

You can use the calendar 'booking enquiry' button to request a specific room and time, or use the form below for any general enquiries.
The Hall caters for up to 100 people and includes access to a kitchen upstairs and toilets downstairs.
ACCESSIBILITY Stairs only - lift is currently out of order. Accessible toilet on ground floor.
NOISE RESTRICTIONS require any activities to cease and the hall to be vacated by midnight. We don't allow parties at Thistle Hall!
KITCHEN FACILITIES There's a kitchen next to the Hall which provides ample bench space, fridge freezer, oven, microwave and a hot water urn. Please be aware that you'll need to bring your own utensils, crockery, cutlery, cups, glasses etc.
If you want to provide or sell alcohol at your event you will need to discuss with the Manager and if approved you will need to get a Special Licence from Wellington City Council.
